Why Context Over Control

I named my site Context Over Control because it reflects a core belief that the best outcomes—whether in building products, leading teams, or serving customers—come not from top-down directives, but from shared understanding. As a product leader, I focus on empowering teams with clarity around the "why" so they can make smart, autonomous decisions about the "how."

This value shows up in how I operate: prioritizing transparency over micromanagement, aligning teams around customer problems, and fostering environments where curiosity and ownership thrive. When teams have deep context—about the customer, the strategy, and the constraints—they don't need to be controlled. They build better products, faster.

My obsession with customers fuels this mindset. Real insight doesn't come from sitting in a room writing requirements—it comes from listening, observing, and deeply understanding the people we serve. Context turns into impact when it's in the hands of empowered teams.
